Ford GPW #31308 in excellent condition..... For Sale (1942) edit C101552 | | | 1942 Ford GPW serial number 31308. The jeep is in excellent condition...complete and total frame off bolt to bolt restoration using a excellent reproduction tub. The original ford script from the original tub was grafted into the new tub. The remaining body parts are all original to this jeep...including hood, fenders, grill, windshield and etc. There is no rust or rot whatsoever on this jeep. The jeep has a late war willys MB engine installed..in every case either NOS parts or excellent restored original parts were used. The original glove box data plate and frame plate match...all new tires and canvas are installed on the jeep. A set of original combat wheels are included with the sale. Includes a original rifle rack on the interior windshield and several other accessories not in the photos. This jeep is a strong and excellent running vehicle...less than 500 miles on a total engine and transmission overhaul..the jeep was restored with the intention of lasting forever given proper maintenance as the future unfolds. I am the third owner of the jeep after it was surplused. The jeep was originally owned by and used by the Levi Straus Ranch after release from the US Army in San Antonio, Texas in 1946. It has remained in the area around San Antonio since that time. Extensive receipts documenting restoration are available. Will easily pass road inspection. Note: I only manage one or two of these type restorations each year...you can appreciate that the level of attention given requires the complete dismantling of the jeep and the complete restoration on a bolt by bolt basis. There are no apologies or excuses necessary on any item related to the vehicle...And, if you are seeking an excellent early willys MB I have one of those that I will list that is completely original from the tires up...(I am awaiting new canvas seat cushions and a summer top before it is listed) This jeep will be in approximately the same price range and has a non-functional 30 cal browning pedestal mounted in the rear..
