This must be one of the nicest Morris Minor 1000 on offer today. Inside, outside and underneath. She is exceptionally clean for its age, indicative of a well maintained car, with only 1 previous owner. She will have 12 Months mot and has been serviced recently. And all documents from near enough 28 years while we have owned her.
Moe our the Morris Minor has been with our family for the past 27 years with all the paperwork and history. The pictures definitely do not do the car justice. First registered 1969 making her 40 years old. The mileage is currently 49,500.Please study the pictures, ask questions and then come and have a look. e will get some recent pics uploaed, but these on here now are from a while ago. Bodywork:
Lovely, all round eat condition of the car, altough the crome is slight pitting then apart from that there is No visible rust or dents. Finished in Trafalgar blue, the paint finish is superb. There are a few imperfections, stone chips as one would expect for the age and you will be excused for not noticing these as nothing is obvious and all the important places like A and B posts, gutters, boot floor etc are spotless. Everything fits well and looks just like a well looked after genuine car should do. In 1989 complete stripped and rebuild by kingstreet motors morris specialist in kent. 1990 new alterantor replaced only because we did short miles.
Mechanics:
The engine starts and runs incredibly very well, infact you wont find a better running morris, as mentioned we replaced the engine 20 years ago done 50k. Also a new clutch was done. There are no noises from the gearbox as this was replaced in 2003 aprox less than 3000 miles ago, or axle and the exhaust, tyres etc. are all serviceable.
Overall, she is a very pleasant and satisfying drive and will be ideal as an every day driver, which is what she has always been. The mechanics on a Morris Minor are relatively simple so there is not much to go wrong. New break master cylinders in 2005 and front wheel cyclinders too. She has been well maintained and when ever she needed attention is was given to her. Heater works fine.
Interior:
The interior is still beautiful. Finished in contrasting light blue. The seats are perfect, no rips or tears, although will need cleaning, Good carpit as was replaced in 2007. You will not find a nicer, or more genuine Minor to sit in and drive. The boot area is very clean and tidy.
Summary:
A really lovely car. You have to look pretty hard to find fault. The points listed above don't detract from the cars looks, or usability. She is just in the best possible condition for a 40 year old car that you can both afford, and use.
This is just a very nice, pretty car that desperately needs a new loving owner to keep her under cover, safe and secure. If you are serious about buying this car, then you had better think about HER future, as she will undoubtedly be here long after you are gone.
All in all a brilliant investment (and lots of fun) for the future.
