Hillman Avenger 1600 Deluxe For Sale (1974) edit C104265 | | | For sale is my 1974 Avenger 1600 Deluxe. MOT May 2010, tax end October 2009.
I've had this car since October 2001, and since I've had it it's had: new front wings, welding(both outer sills, left inner sill, both front jacking points, rear quarters sorted out, a little on the front crossmember, and a plate at the left bonnet hinge); brake master cylinder, rear slave cylinders and new caliper seals; new shocks front and rear (rear are gas); new fuel tank; new radiator; recent new exhaust centre section; paint.
The paint. I've done the spraying, and it's ok - not concours, but a "30 foot" job - looks better from a distance than with a magnifying glass. It could do with a new vinyl roof. Clutch release bearing squeaks but otherwise good.
Engine and gearbox fine.
This car is elegible for post-historic road rallying
