Austin Allegro For Sale (1979) edit C104605 | | | Welome to the sale of my 1979 Austin Allegro 1.3 SDL.
My hobby is buying and selling classic cars and bikes, this is a car that I bought in May, I have had the following work carried out:-
New Ball joints,
New Steering Rack,
New Vinyl Roof (old one was split, this is an original replacement roof from the 70's that was sourced via ebay),
New plugs and points and distributer cap,
New MOT,
Hydragas suspension pumped up.
The car runs really well and is in excellent condition, it was zeibarted (rust proofed) when new so there is very little rust on the car. The worst part is the drivers side scuttle panel (just below the window) where there is evidence of a past repair, not really noticable unless you are looking for it.
The dash, door panels and roof lining are all good, however the seats were worn so I have fitted seat covers. The car has had a few owners in the past, I am the 9th, unfortunatley there is no history with it, but the mileage is showing 75k which I would say from the condition of the vehicle is probably correct.
To sum up this a lovely car which runs really well and is really cheap to run and maintain, keeps up with modern traffic and gets lots of smiles and comments wherever it goes.
