Peugeot 103 U3 Sport For Sale (1979) edit C105034 | | | Peugeot 103 U3 SP for sale, it's in working condition and has been stored inside. It has been off the road since 6th of august 1990.
The moped is 49cc, and only has 1146 miles on the clock.
The bike is 100% ORIGINAL from manufacture, but it does have custom leg guards that are similar to that of Lambrettas ( see pictures), i'm not sure about the origins of the leg guards but they are easily removable via 2 bolts.
This bike does have some surface rust, but no deep rust that causes structural problems. The surface rust shouldn't be hard to deal with, it can easily be cured and painted over with no complications.
This bike is VERY rare, these are extremely hard to find in this condition in the UK, as it is a bike of french origin and not many were shipped to the UK. The moped is the fastest of its type, capable of over 40mph in its prime. Due to the age of this vehicle, you can see that it has pedals for the rider to aid it in hill climbing. This is a feature that is also considered rare in this day and age.
The bike is kick start, takes petrol mixed with 2 stroke engine oil, and she is automatic. It Runs and starts fine,
the brakes are a little sloppy, but that is nothing that a little attention wont solve. The tires are roadworthy and all the electrics still work ( horn, lights high and low beam)
