FIAT X1/9 Gran Finale 31,000 miles X19 For Sale (1989) edit C105090 | | | For sale is my 1989 Gran Finale in Bertone Rosso Micalizzato. I've owned it for 5 years, in which time it's only had light summer use. It's MOTed until July 2010, and is taxed until the end of April.
It's covered 31,000 from new, backed up by every MOT certificate since it was three years old. I also have every tax disc, a stack of bills, original manuals, two sets of keys, and even a dealer brochure.
The car comes with all five original O.Z. alloys shod in Pirelli P3000s (the spare has a Pirelli Cinturato and looks like it's been in there since day one). It's fitted a Lumenition electronic ignition kit which has made it much easier to start and has improved the smoothness. Another modification is the Blaupunkt MP3-compatible CD/Tuner, but I have kept what looks like the original Radio/Cassette, which will be included in the sale.
Condition: it's not concours standard, but there's no rot anywhere as far as I'm aware. The paintwork is fantastic as can be seen in the photos (taken July 2009). It always draws positive comments from people, even my MOT tester, who says it's the best one he's ever seen.
On the minus side, the notoriously fragile Alcantara seats have suffered - the backs are fine, but the rainbow-patterened holes have disintegrated on both squabs, and the driver's also has a split. Also, the leather on the steering wheel is discoloured, although it feels fine. The electric windows are best described as "relaxed", although I've yet to see "urgent" ones on an X1/9.
The car is located in Wrexham, in north east Wales.
