Porsche 911 2.2ltr ST Narrowbody Replica SOLD (1970) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | 911 ST Replica. 2.2 ltr Narrow Rally Body Specification. Exterior based on 2.2 ltr ST as per Jurgen Barth’s ‘The Porsche Book’ page 313 and 314.
Fresh glass out respray in Burgundy with Silver graphics (period works colours) with new window rubbers. New Recaro Sport replica seats (corded centres and leatherette outers). RS lightweight door panels covered in leather. Will be sold with new Momo Prototipe wheel. Vented perspex rear side windows, poly carbonate front bib, fiberglass rear bib, ST style grills, rubber bonnet / boot pulls, deletes as per ST spec.
Suspension lowered and setup for fast road, sprints and speed hill climbs, Koni shocks, ‘S’ calipers, heavy duty ARB refurbished Fuchs Deep Sixes. Fresh discs and pads.
2.2ltr ‘E’ spec engine rebuilt by retired Aston Martin Technician (ex owner) 10,000 miles ago with bills and photographic record. Rebuilt fuel injection pump, throttle bodies re-machined, fuel injectors cleaned, fuel injection rigged by Bob Watson engine tuned and setup on his rolling road last year, 3bhp over standard @157bhp. All power graphs in records. Excellent oil pressure this being 5+ bar @ 4000 rpm when hot. I have not needed to top the oil up between annual oil changes. 3 way competition exhaust and hydraulic tensioners, RSR rocker shaft seals.
The car is exciting to drive on both road and track being around 10% lighter than standard. I have used it for speed hill climbs and the previous owner did classic rallies with it. I am only being forced to sell it to finance a small business venture.
