Modern Classic Saab Convertible For Sale (1995) edit C106010 | | | MOT TO MAY 2010 (sailed through last time) TAX ALSO END OF MAY.
I never owned a Saab before this and I was surprised at how good it is, if you know Saabs you know what I mean.
This is a 900S 2 litre, 5 speed manual.
It drives superbly, feels very planted on the rd and handles well, it is economical to run-I went to Cornwall at the weekend and averaged 32.5mpg, 3 up with luggage.
The mileage is 160000 but you'd never guess it, there are 16 stamps in the service book and I have done routine mantainence. In my care it has not used a drop of oil in nearly 16k that I've done in it.
The tyres are good .
The alloys are Saab and in good condition.
It has a blue electric hood in superb condition and it works faultlessly. The hood fits very snugly and stows away out of sight. even with the hood down the boot is very spacious due to the upward stance of the rear of the car, you don't get that with the BMW or Audi ! the rear seats have more space than the aforementioned too.
Interior is black leather in vgc, the seats are high backed and very supportive and comfortable.
Carpets are immaculate with cover mats to protect them.
It has electric tinted windows, electric heated mirrors, headlamp wash/wipe, central locking with remote alarm / immobilisor.
The heater controls work fine-there can be issues with these but mine's fine.
There are one or two points to mention;
While the body is in vgc and the paint gleams, there is a small dent in the o/s/f wing, visible in photo. The paint is not damaged here and the dent master chappy could have it out in a jiffy I'm sure-I just haven't got round to it.
The bonnet has stone chips as you might expect.
Rather annoyingly the SRS (airbag) light is on, it failed to go out one day recently and has remained on. I'm told it's common and the saetbelt wiring plug has become disconnected.
That's it, other wise it's a very good car that has served me with total reliability.
I could do with something larger so a swap would be welcome, I fancy a Lexus LS400 or Mercedes or why? age is not an issue, I judge a car on condition.
Call anytime if you wish to know more.
Dominic.
