1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster Replica For Sale edit C106584 | | | http://themotorclub21.com/Contact.html | | 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster Replica.
Built by California Custom Coach in Pasadena. Purchased by the current owner from the original owner in Scottsdale in 1988. This Boattail is built on a Ford chassis and suspension and is powered by a Ford 351 Cleveland V-8 engine.
Color is cream yellow with dark tan interior and chocolate top. The car is in very nice condition throughout. Seats and top are in very nice condition showing little to no wear. All the instrumentation shows well against the black mahogany dash and Nardi Steering wheel. Paint is very nice showing only normal minor scratches. Chrome and trim are bright with some minor imperfections beginning to show on the trim of the driver’s spot light.
The original radio was replaced with a JVC system when it was discovered that the car was fitted when built with a complement of hidden speakers that give the highest quality sound even at highway speeds with the top down.
It has been enjoyed and well-maintained over the last eleven years. Recent maintenance includes complete brake system overhaul with rebuilt brakes, new brake power booster and new master cylinder. It also has a new set of radials. The car also has a new battery, water pump and hoses. Hinge pins have been replaced so the doors close easily and tightly. The car is registered in Florida as a 1936 Auburn Boattail. A very nice car and immediately ready for the road.
