The Ford Shelby GT500 is the most powerful Mustang from the factory ever. It has a supercharged 5.4 litre DOHC V8 engine that produces 500 horsepower (373kw) and 480 pounds-feet (651nm) of torque.
Visually the Ford Shelby GT500 has Le-Mans style stripes long the top from nose to tail and GT500 nomenclature is prominent in the lower bodyside racing stripe. The power is put down through a 6 speed T-56 Manual gearbox that has nicely spaced ratios that exploits the engine broad torque curve.
This 2008 example has covered just 400 km’s since it was imported new in August 2008. The conversion was completed by approved RAWS workshop, Autosmith International in Queensland, the conversion has been done to such a high standard that it looks completely factory finished and all modifications have been completed to meet the stringent ADR requirements.
It has also had an upgraded supercharger installed that has been dyno tested and is now producing 570 horsepower, it has also been lowered slightly for improved roadholding.
