For sale, 1971 Ford Mustang convertible, yellow with black interior and black stripe decals. It has recently undergone a FULL nut and bolt restoration in 2006 costing roughly £12,000 and has only covered approximately 150 miles since completion. The car also comes with a full Ford endorsed Marti report – this document gives accurate information about the cars originality, including the plant it was made, the date it was made and any optional extras included at the time.
This Mustang houses an original high-output 351 cubic-inch Cleveland engine (M code) with a four barrel carburettor and large port cylinder heads. This rare engine has undergone a FULL internal and external rebuild, incorporating many new parts, far too many to list. The car also has a C6 Automatic gearbox which again has undergone a full rebuild. Not only this, but all of the brakes, suspension, back axle, differential and steering has also been completely rebuilt/replaced, again with many new parts, all of which are documented.
The body work is nothing short of immaculate and very straight, with any new panels coming in from America where necessary, i.e. the car is now fitted with a new “Ram-Air” hood, an option at the time of manufacture. The list of parts and money spent on this Mustang reads like a dream-car wish list; some major items being a new windscreen, new electric convertible hood and toneau cover, new carpets, new dual exhausts, etc, etc.
The private registration (NME 8L) valuing approximately £2,000, is included with the sale of the car.
