1969 Lola T142 Formula 5000.

Surely the most unique T142 available today.
Delivered to Carl Haas in 1969, believed to be the only T 142 with a complete history. SL21 also has the distinction of having a matching chassis tag and plate.
This car has had a complete rebuild with all new parts with the exception of the original chassis, restored and powder coated by Supercharger, the original Traco engine & LG600 have been rebuilt respectively by Graham Hickman & Hewland engineers R.T.S.
The uprights crack tested by Creasey Castings & rear Koni shocks serviced by Koni
(the fronts new). The drive shafts, brake callipers, radiator & rack professionally serviced locally. Every other part of this car is new, over £2500.00 was spent on rose joints bearings and bushes alone. All new body, fuel cells, alloy panels, wires, seat, clocks, nuts bolts and washers. The all new wishbones, rockers and radius arms are finished in nickel. The final set up was carried out by Tony Steele & forty successful test laps were completed in both wet & dry conditions. A final tweak to the top end was administered by Alex Doig a V8 specialist. Photos, drawings, spec. sheets etc., all available on purchase.

I have hill climbed and raced the car for the last 14 years during which time there were only two dnf’s, one slight collision, the second when rain stopped play at Mallory (see me in the spray in Bernard Cowdrey’s book Formula 5000). For financial reasons the car has never been driven through the red mist as to win some of the pots I’ve won I have to enjoy and finish!. The mind is willing but the body will no longer follow orders and finally bought play to an end.

Naturally the car has F.I.A. papers and must be the ultimate most eligible Lola T142.

The asking price for this awesome car is ££65,000..considerably less than it’s full potential.
