Chrysler 300F...Very, very rare For Sale (1960) edit C108893 | | | Every now and then something REALLY special comes along; this is one of those times!
This extraordinary example of the 1960 Chrysler 300F is finished in its original Alaskan White with Tan leather interior. The factory options include:
(842) Hard top (311) Air conditioning
(353) leather interior (383) remote control mirror
(WW1) Alaskan White Paint (422) Golden Tone radio
(442) Solex tinted glass (523) 3.31:1 rear axle ratio
Total Production for the 1960 300F consisted of 964 hard tops and 248 convertibles or 1212 total units. Of those produced, and as of May 2001, there are 275 hardtops that are known to exist and only 75 convertibles; a total of only 350 surviving cars. 23 of those 350 cars have been junked, leaving only 327 surviving examples.
This car has had only 3 California Owners it entire life. The car was originally purchased at San Fernando Valley Motors in May-June of 1960. Its second owner had the car from 1962 until 1986 and its third and current owner has had this wonderful car ever since.
Restoration was started on the car in May of 1994 and was completed about one year later. The car was professionally repainted to its original color. The leather was replaced with the correct hides; the original factory tooling used to stamp the leather inserts! Chrome that needed refinishing has been done, yet most of the chrome and bright work on the car are original and in outstanding condition. Most every component on the car is original to THIS car including all of the glass. There is no rust, corrosion or accident damage. The original Golden Lion 413 Long Ram engine was overhauled and bored to 426ci. Power is estimated at north of 400hp. The car starts runs and drives perfectly. There are no fluid leaks what-so-ever.
This car is in remarkable original condition, perhaps the most original of any 300F known to exist. The factory air was a very rare option to these cars as are the manual seats that also swivel outward.
This is a stunning example of the 1960 300F that truly is a turn-key car and perhaps one of the best examples to be found anywhere!
We are offering this fantastic piece of automotive history at a very reasonable $85,000 U.S.
For those seeking a non correlated asset, this may be the right vehicle; pun intended.
