Unique TVR Grantura Mk III [LHD] SOLD (1964) C108947 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | This unique and rare TVR Grantura Mk III with the frame number 8/663 has been first driven in the UK for a long time, then it has been brought to the Netherlands more than two decades ago where it had been completely overhault twice and converted into left hand drive. 2 years ago we brought it to Germany where it got professionally maintained and the very demanding German TUeV approved it for the use on public roads in Germany. One year ago this car came back to the UK after having displayed for some months in a German museum as part of an interesting and special TVR exhibition which was about the whole history of TVR from the very beginning to the very end of that remarkable company.
The engine is a tuned MG-B 1.8 ltr. with around 105 HP which are generating a lifely performance. The Grantura is also fitted with Lockheed servo hydraulic break system with discs at the front and drums at the rear axle.
The interior is in good condition but perfectionists might feel the need of further improvement.
The TVR is ready to drive (however, currently not registered) and frame, body, engine, suspension etc. are in good condition. The paint is very close to just excellent.
