VW Rag Top...Nice For Sale (1960) edit C109781 | | | Pre-1968 Volkswagens are quickly becoming one of THE most sought after collectables; they are starting to bring big money. Here is an opportunity to get into one of these cars before they become far too expensive for most to enjoy.
This 1960 VW Type 1 sedan (Vin # 2885452) is in fantastic overall condition with very few blemishes. It is not a Concours class wining car, but, it is FAR better than what we would consider a “driver” The car is finished in what we believe may be “Brunswick” Blue with Blue seat covers and two tone door panels. The car has the correct model year engine (#3644880) that runs well…though the car is not fast…it never was ….
We cannot find any rust or corrosion on the car, the floor pans are in great condition as are the door sills. The car appears to have spent its life in Southern California, but, we cannot confirm this as documentation on the car is sadly missing.
Overall this rag-top beetle is in wonderful order and most certainly can be enjoyed just as it is for many years to come. It stops traffic, the chicks dig it “it is just soooooo cute” and these early VW’s are doing nothing but appreciating in value. A great opportunity!
