Saab Classic 900T16 convertible SOLD (1988) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | Fantastic classic SAAB 900 Turbo 16. I've owned this car for the last six years and it's always been a joy. Becoming a true classic, these cars are getting harder to find and this one is a particularly good spec for enthusiasts. As you can see from the photos, it has the two part wooden dash (original, not stick on) original tonneau cover to maximize head turning and the very, very rare chrome luggage rack on the boot. It also has a leather steering wheel and wooden gear knob. The spare wheel is in good condition and the tool kit is intact. The car also benefits from upgraded SAAB speakers and top of the range Kenwood radio/CD player with integral ipod lead and 10 disk cd changer. I am also including a Navman 550 sat-nav which includes European maps. The mileage, at 140,000 is on the low side for a car that's over twenty one years old, but for anyone not familar with their strength and robustness, there is one in a Canadian museum that has done a million miles on the original engine. The power hood is less than three years old and is in perfect condition. The heated rear window glass was replaced about 18 months ago and is fully operational. It has all the usual SAAB refinements, 4 electric windows, electric side mirrors, tinted glass etc. The buffalo leather interior is still firm and very comfortable. The heated front seats are fully operational and the car has just sailed through it's MOT test so you can be confident that there are no significant issues. The heater is designed for a Swedish winter so you can happily drive around on the chilliest days with the hood down. The bodywork is in superb condition and the door bottoms are sound with only a little blistering on one side of the bonnet and one wheel arch. Nothing else at all. Bumpers and trim are generally in good shape with only a small scrape on one of the rear bumper sides. I have every MOT certificate so you can be sure that the mileage is genuine. I do not have the service history although I have always maintained the car well and had it regularly serviced.
