Great condition Renault 5 GTX 1.7litre For Sale (1989) edit C112787 | | | Located in Ringwood, Hampshire
I'm selling my beloved Renault 5 which has just over 118k on the clock.
I learnt to drive in this car and have had it for nearly three years now and have loved every second of it but I now feel it is time to pass him on to someone who has a bit more time to spend on maintenance than I do.
I was tempted by the scrappage scheme but it would be a crime to scrap a car that is in this condition.
It is in great condition for a 21 year old car, it runs well and is very very fun to drive. Nippy 1.7 but still sneaks into a low insurance bracket.
GOOD
* Only 3 owners including me. Original purchaser + his son
* Original bill of sale
* Lever arch full of receipts etc
* Last MOT - only needed wiper blades to pass
* Leads, plugs and distributor cap changed
* Clear indicators (still have originals)
* Engine clean
* Uses very very little oil
NOT SO GOOD
* Advisories on MOT - brake pads and leaky exhaust
* Small patches of rust begining under driver and passenger
window
* Internal rust under window on boot
* Occasionally hard to start - ALWAYS does in the end, not
sure what is the problem though
I will be so sad to see this car go, it was not only my first car but the car I had always wanted and he hasn't let me down.
Tax & MOT til December.
