| | | Built October 1968, this is the last of the first series of MGC GTs(different gear ratios & seats). First registered 1969. Factory fitted overdrive, heated rear window, wire wheels (available but now replaced with k/o Minilites) and an aftermarket Webasto folding sunroof, fitted about 10 years ago and in good, leak-free condition. The car is finished in white and is in good general condition, not restored although repairs and replacement panels appear to have been carried out as required in the past. The seats have been replaced with new leather later C spec items (very comfortable!)but originals available in useable condition. It has just passed the MOT (Sept 2009) following front brake overhaul - new discs, callipers & pads - and new rear tyres. The front tyres were replaced last year. There have been minor rust repairs in the past but none recently. The engine and gearbox are original, the only thing that spoils the drive a little, until you are used to it, is weak synchro on 2 & 3. Bodywork is starting to show a few bubbles in the usual places.Also this past year a new galvanised petol tank has een fitted and part of the fuel line replaced. Reason for sale - I would like a change and fancy a classic saloon or camper van, and would consider p/ex with cash either way for the right vehicle.
