The Ford Zephyr range is the lengthened version of the Ford Consul and because the Zephyr is six cylinders the front wings are 4" longer than the Consul.
This 2-door convertible was made by Carbodies Ltd of Coventry and then finished by Ford at Dagenham.
Between 1951 and 1956 only 4048 were produced.
It is fitted with a power-operated hood.
When tested by The Motor magazine in the 1950's they achieved 80 mph and 23 mpg on their test car.
When they were produced these Zephyr Convertibles were No. 1 for glamour and the Ultimate Arrival Car.
