Beetle 'Split Window' - Brezelfenster For Sale (1952) edit C114949 | | | One of the earliest and rarest of all Volkswagen Beetle models. (All matching numbers)
Made in January 1952, the last year of the Split window production.
Chassis Number: 318481
Still retains its original 25hp engine and gearbox. Runs lovely and starts first time with its push button start.
Engine Number 1-0 384903
Features include:
Dual Dial Dash
Vented Windows.
Side Air intake grills
Semiphore indicators in full working order.
Original bodywork, with original body number: 261667
Original 15 inch wheels.
All usual interior items found on this model are present and in extremely good condition for age.
Even each panel of glass is still original without chips and with the original SEKURIT etching.
Also in fine condition and the rare vented windows, both in working order.
Original flat bottom Underside is in exceptional condition.
Never had full restoration, just new paint.
Family owned, Covered and stored its entire life in a professional storage facility. Having lived in Portugal its whole life, and used very little, it has no rust/rot. Only recently brought back home due to lack of use over there.
Still undecided whether to keep her and simply restore to fully original concours condition. however, sensible offers at this stage may change my mind.
Must be seen to appreciate just how untouched and original this car is.
