Ford Capri 3.0S For Sale (1983) edit C116257 | | | Hello thanks for looking at the advert for my 3.0S. I first saw WAN263Y on the Potteries Capri Club site at one of its early outings after A re-vamp. The pictures are still on the club site for 2007 events where it can be seen with trophies for best painted classic.
Approx 6 or 7 months later I saw what I thought was it for sale and contacted the seller and arranged to make my way to Liverpool the following weekend. A silver 3.0S with red and black upholstery combination looks great. The car ticked all the boxes and was back in Northern Ireland the following morning.
Stratus Silver with tinted glass combined with what seems to be A fairly unique upholstery the car gets lots of attention everywhere I take it. I am A member of the Northern Ireland Capri Club ( lots of pictures of car on the website[url]www.capriclubni.co.uk/|http://www.capriclubni.co.uk/[/url] ) and try to attend as many events as I can. The car was awarded 2nd in the S category at this years Northern Ireland Regional Show. The paintwork is in fantastic condition and would put A modern car to shame. The car drives as well as it looks and sounds great. Still has the 4-speed gear-box irrespective of everyones advice to change it to the 5-speed but I prefer to keep things original or as close to it as poss.
Previous owner did add some personal touches like Janspeed manifolds and K&N airfilter which can be easily changed but the car sounds great so I just left things as they were. There were A few things which I did change myself just little finishing touches including:
-New front lights
-New front indicators
-New front & rear bumpers
-New door cards as the previous owner had made speaker holes
-New 7'' 4-spoke rims as the previous owner changed from original to midland wheels which I did not like
I have had the car two years now and has been treat to own and on both occasions sailed straight through MOT without question. The only reason I decided to sell it is the shows are over for another year so fancy A change but definately another Capri.
