Superb Rover P5 3 litre For Sale (1960) edit C117104 | | | This is a super example of the early Rover P5
Often referred to as the Rover 3 litre.
Straight six engine, genuine 74,000 miles.
It has lovely wood interior, and leather bench seats with centre drop down armrests.
I have used this car to commute to work every day I have owned her, and she starts first time every time, and runs beautifully, with never a missed beat.
The engine oil looks like it has just been put in from new.
Everything works except the centre console clock.
The brakes are excellent.
She has 4 brand new tyres
The car was owned by one person for over 30 years and was meticulously maintained.
It was then put in storage for 6 years, and recommisioned early this year.
There is some history, and a very thick and comprehensive workshop manual
The car has MOT till next March, tax till next February (free in any case)
I have loved driving this motor car, and she really is a head turner, but I am about to move house and have no room for her
Bad bits: The offside rear bumper chrome has bubbled up (see photo), also there is a paint chip on the offside wheel arch caused a few weeks ago by an over zealous hand car wash operative, who caught it with a steam cleaning lance (are they insured?, of course not!)
There are other bits of paintwork which needs tidying up.
She's not concourse or top show class, but she is ready to be shown at any classic event.
4th gear has overdrive, she runs on unleaded, and has a radio
I will be sorry to see her go, genuine interest only please.
