very rare kit car For Sale (1985) edit C117568 | | | The Magenta Tarragon is based on a MK1 Ford Escort running gear. It is rear wheel drive with a 1300cc 4 cylinder engine and has a 4 speed manual gearbox.
It has a fibreglass body with a steel chassis which are both in very good condition.
This is kit 19 (of about only 35 ever produced),It cost £1,489 back in 1983. The car was built over a period of two years using a 1972 Ford Escort 1300 estate as the donor vehicle. The vehicle was completed and registered in September 1985.
Despite the vehicle not having an MOT since 1996 is has been well kept in a garage until I bought it a few months ago. The car is solid and starts, runs, and stops. All of the lights work,and the heater, wipers and glass ect are all fine.
A fantasic project car that sould only take someone a weekend to prep for the MOT. A cheap MK1 Escort at the very least.
