The Ghibli made its debut in 1966 at the turin motor show. 1149 Ghiblis were produced along with 125 spyders and were largely built for the US market with the 4.9 producing 335 however its been said that this big engine was a marketing need as the yanks need a 5l engine and the better high compression racier fabulous quad cam 4.7 was not used other than in Europe. There are only 11 rhd 4.7 ghiblis ever made.
