Chrysler Imperial Speedster Big Six For Sale (1928) edit C118652 | | | "Big Six" engine: 6 Cyl, 5.300 cc. The engine and chassis of this car belonged to Julio Vitale, a talented italian mechanic who had a Chrysler workshop in Palermo, Buenos Aires, circa 1920, where all the workshops used to be. Chassis: Vitale had prepared its chassis for racing, therefore its lightweigt. Engine: Chrysler Imperial 6 cilinders L-80, the “Big Six” from 1928. An impressive engine with a lot of torque, standard 106 HP but with a touch here and there. Engine Number: L1898 Silver Dome. Rear axle: Chrysler 1928 Brakes: Chrysler hidraulic exterior. Wheels: Buffalo 21 inch fitted with 650. Radiator: Chrysler 1928, re made with original specifications. Instruments: Chrysler oil pressure, temperature, amp and speedometer. Stewart RPM. Suspenssion: Hartford replica, 2 pairs at the front and one pair at the back. Gear Box: Fiat 525/7 4 speed circa 1927. This particular gearbox was used in a "monoposto" until the 60's with a V8 engine with more than 300 HP. It feels like a modern gearbox, seems like a sinchronizated one. Carburetors: Two Carters "new old stock" in mint conditions which provide a smooth run. Body: it was built in aluminum by one of the best handcraft in Argentina, Cicheti, who gave the tail that nice shape, equilibrated with her big nose.
