Triumph 1300 TC (very low mileage) SOLD (1969) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | Very nice triumph 1300 tc fwd. This is becoming a very rare classic car (only 20 known examples left in uk!)The car is damson red and the paintwork is in very good condition for a 40 year old car. There is some rust about but nothing serious and would not take much to sort out. Chrome is good apart from some rust on the back bumper.The interior is almost perfect, certainly above average for a 1969 car. The wood door cappings will need relaquered,but the the beige coloured seats are in amazingly good condition for a car of this age - no rips, tears or discolouring. The only issue I can find underneath the car is that both ends of each inner sill have rusted and although they could be plated there is a set of brand new inner sills that I bought a few weeks ago, and I would suggest that the best option would be to fit them to to sort this common dolomite rust problem.
The engine and gearbox are brilliant. Starts first time every time and the car is a pleasure to drive, although I have only driven it locally since it does not have a mot.
I dont believe it needs much, if anything for an mot (once the new inner sills have been welded in).
Mileage is only 68500 and looks genuine.
Am selling because I have just purchased a 25 year old Mercedes and I am short of space in my driveway.
My price (which is non negotiable) is only £650 including £125 of new inner sills. I simply need to recoup my costs !
My comprehensive insurance costs only £68 per annum and the road tax is free historic vehicle tax !
