Porsche 911 2.0 liter Trans-Am race car For Sale (1968) edit C119436 | | | A significant car! This 911 Porsche race car has been built to the exacting specifications of the 1968 Trans-Am Championship winning car driven by Orange County resident Tony Adamowicz and has since been campaigned with Tony back behind the wheel 41 years later.
A collaborate effort between the Marc Zurlinden (builder and current owner) Tony, Mac Tilton and Don Breslauer (those who originally built, maintained and drove the car to its championship) has brought this automotive piece of history back to life. Nothing was overlooked in the build quality of this car. This was the first Porsche to bring the marque a Trans-Am title.
This spectacular race car is available for sale; offers in excess of $95,000 (57,300 GBP) will be entertained. The car will be delivered to the Peterson Automotive museum by Exclusive motors for the Trans-Am tribute reunion in November. The car will then be on display at the Peterson from November 9 to December 13th.
It would be preferred by all involved that the new owner commit to campaigning the car with Tony a2z behind the wheel…further enhancing the cars provenance.
Make no mistake….this is not a street car disguised as a racer…this is a very serious race car.
Build sheet, parts lists and additional photos are available
