Honda Accord EX-R SOLD (1985) C120116 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Too many old Japanese cars and too little space means I am reluctantly selling my Accord. This is the top of the range EX-R model with all the toys as follows:
Cruise control, Electric windows on all four doors, Electric sunroof, Electric aerial, Headlmap wash-wipe, Power steering, Anti-lock brakes (ABS).
A very sophisticated and well built car with a 1.8 litre OHC engine and this example is unusual in that it has the 5-speed manual box (most sem to have been autos) which is very smooth.
Very good solid all round condition with just a few small blemishes here and there on the rear door edges and bootlid. I have fitted a new wing but the paint match (even after two goes!) was not perfect. It has had a couple of services in my ownership since Feb 2008 and had a cambelt change and brake overhaul. Mileage is 82,500.
It's reliable, comfortable and drives well and all the electric items work including the vacuum servo heater controls, though the air con compressor is noisy so is disconnected at present. It is also surprisingly economical and I have been getting around 37mpg overall, yet still has a good turn of speed. lovely on a motorway with cruise control engaged.
Taxed until end of Nov. 2009 and Mot is October 2010.
