Rolls Royce Silver Spirit history ideal wedding For Sale (1981) edit C121603 | | | Welcome to the sale of a very nice rolls royce silver spirit in a stunning colour combination.
i had the pleasure of driving this car from the isle of wight back to my home in surrey and the car did not miss a beat.
the car belongs to a friend of mine, who has asked me to list it for him, as it seems people do not want to view cars on the island because of the costs involved.
exterior
as you can see from the pictures the car is finished in a beautiful metalic blue. It really suits this style of car and gets a lot of compliments wherever it goes.
there is no visible rust anywhere to be seen. (wheel arches and sills are rust free.) 4 x new white wall tyres fitted - with a new spare unused tyre in the boot. Also there is a good spare wheel as well.

interior
the seats are finished in a beige colour with the same colour carpets to match. It comes with white over rugs all round and rear foot stalls. Lap seat belts for three also in rear. Front and rear head rests fitted. The woods on the doors have been re-lacquered and are in perfect condition. A cd player is fitted with a multi changer in the boot. Perfect leather head linning.
mechanical
this car is very nice to drive and has no mechanical issues that i know of. It comes with a comprehensive service history as an added bonus the car has a harvey bailey handling kit fitted (from knew) that cost in excess of 4 thousand pounds. The engine is oil and water tight and still runs silent. All check lights go off as they should. Brakes are perfect, as is the hydraulic suspension.
i have personaly known this car for a long time, as i knew the previous owner before my friend bought it.
the car comes with history and a vast amount of bills to back this up. As you are probally aware : buying a cheap rolls royce will cost a lot more in the long run. I can personaly say that this car is the nicest rolls royce that i have ever driven. I use to have a large wedding car company and have had driven lots of diffrent rolls royces,shadows, spirits and spurs and none of my old cars compared to this one.
as i am a very honest seller i am going to list the minor faults that i am aware of(not many sellers do this)
oil pressure gauge does not work(think the wire has fallen off will check)
ac needs a £45 circuit board changed to blow cold.
mileometer has been disconected because he had a very limited mileage classic insurance policy , speedo still works fine though.
the glove box wood needs to be re-lacquered at some point.
drivers door lock does not lock from the key outside as the bar has fallen of the back but you can still lock the car up fine.
as you can see the above are very minor and will not cost a lot to rectify if anything.
when my friend bought this car he had a profesional inspection undertaken, to make sure this car was a good one. This was carried out by a local rolls specialist to me in south london. The vehicle has sat in my friends garage not being used that regulary. Probably covered 300 miles in 7 years (honestly!! -do not forget it has come from a small island),just the odd trip out on a nice day or to pick the kids up etc. In this time he has had numerous mots and work done to keep it in tip top condition (has not seen the rain for 7 years plus!)
a few years ago these cars in this condition would fetch 10 thousand plus, so you are really getting a bargain at this price. It can only go up in the future. Why not put the car into the wedding trade and earn 200 pounds plus for 3 hours of local work.
