SOLD (1965) C121789 | | | Sold by Birchfield Classics Ltd via Car and Classic Trade System | | he Austin and Morris A60 pick up and half ton van were based on the A55 car and produced from 1957 until 1971, first with 1489cc then 1622 “B” series engines.
This pick-up is a 1965 Morris 1622cc A60 which has been completely restored and re-fitted. Remarkably, the V5 shows just one owner from new and the mileage is just 45,000 which is almost certainly correct due to a long period of dry storage from 1972 until 2007. The pick-up is now in excellent condition with a high quality paint finish, no rust and the load area see is boarded out with a good quality cover. Mechanically this A60 runs and drives well, the engine and gearbox are excellent and there are no whines from the back axle.
We have just carried out a minor re-commissioning and this A60 is now ready to use with 12 months MOT and 12 months classic (free) tax. In beautiful condition with low ownership, this will make a great promotional vehicle or perhaps transport for pre-65 trials machines?
