introduced in 1962 the car has stood the test of time in terms of desirable and durability. Die hard fans will testify to the punchy 1.8 litre engine that is exceptionally potent in this package. Its monocoque structure was part of a design revolution when it was revealed. Combined with the cars light weight the 97bhp translate into a serious driving machine that leaves supercars wanting to know its secret! The handling is superb and this particular is a fantastic example of how a mgb should drive! The car requires tlc in regards to the cosmetics, mainly the body with a few areas of rust. But the mg's have such a huge following any works or parts are readily available and never break the bank.
presented in quiet a rare colour for an mgb, smoked silver the car really does stand out from the crowd. Those swooping lines found all over the body come together in a unique way making the car ever so distinct from anything else. Being a late 1974 car, this vehicle is much sought after and highly appreciating chrome bumper model.
the bright work doesn't stop there! From the front grill, over riders, windscreen and quarter glass surrounds and then onto the swage lines and wing mirrors, all are awash with the silver stuff! Towards the rear too the again the tail light surrounds, the war around bumper and that all important 'mg' mgb badge are also chromed up and really do look the part!
that silver exterior highlighted by the mgb decals that sit along the bottom half of the car accentuate the cars stance and is contrasted perfectly by the black interior with red piping. Opening the doors on the car allows for even the tallest of drivers to get more than comfortable in the well designed cabin. All instruments are laid out well and the odometer reads in the region of just under 26k which is backed up by previous mots and a large history file.

the dash board, seats and door cards are all in excellent condition and the switches and gauges operate well too. Again a bit of tidying is needed on the inside, but that's what these cars are all about! Stamping your personal touch on your own chariot!
another key point to note is that the vehicle has a brand new roof fitted. This is one of the most trickiest jobs to complete on a relatively easy car to work on. Wind and water tight the roof not only operates without a hitch, it also looks the business when up now too! Funnily enough the mgb is not known for some of the innovations that it championed in its laugh. It was one of the first cars to include crumple zones for safety, the mark 2 had a synchromesh on all gears and even an alternator as opposed to the then, ever popular dynamo set up. Do not forget too that this vehicle is coming with a brand new 12 months mot, a testament to the mg build quality and to this very cars driving standards.
indeed, the mgb is always a purchase of passion and rightly so.
