This care is now SOLD.
This car was originally purchased in Eastbourne, Sussex and first registered on 23rd November 1957
MOT 23/05/2010, TAX 31/12/2009
Tax exempt, Original number plate EHC 966 (EHC 965 is valued at £1995 by Regtransfers!).
The car has been garaged since the early 1990's. I purchased the car in May 2008, the previous owner had owned the car since 1995.
Bodywork: is in very good condition, very solid with no rust. The paintwork is grey (Yukon) and off white, I believe that the car was restored in the early to mid '90s being re-sprayed in its original colours. The paint is in good condition and has a good shine, there are a few small 'scabs' where the chrome trim runs along the length of the car, these are not serious and could easily be rectified. Chrome work is in overall good condition. The chrome insert is missing from the rear window rubber surround, but I do have a new one, which will come with the car.
Interior: again this is in very good order, the carpets are as new, the wood work is very good and the seats are also in good condition given their age. The drivers seat does need some repair to the leatherette and at the moment has been patched. The roof lining does have some staining.
Mechanics: are all in good working order, the car drives well and starts and stops as it should with no 'unusual' noises. The engine bay is in very clean condition.
The car sits on crossply tyres which are as new, not ideal for wet weather, but then I don't take it out in the wet!
All the electrics work well including the Wolseley lamp on the front grill. The boot area is in exceptionally clean condition.
History: I have the original buff coloured log book, old tax discs and MOT's going back to the early 1990's.
Overall an extremely good example of the Wolseley 1500 model, that has survived the years well.
Mileage: 40,102 I think this is probably a bit on the low side but I would doubt that the car has done more than 65,000 miles in it's lifetime.
