Rarity
It is in truly exceptional condition having covered just 40,000 miles, and has the Peugeot 2.5TD engine fitted from the factory.
It is rare to find a Granada in nearly new condition; it is doubly rare to find any Diesel Granada, never mind one which has covered such a low mileage.
The car drives tightly as though it is still in warranty, and has none of the rust issues associated with Granadas especially around the rear wheel arches.
Note that there is no air-conditioning or heated front windscreen as these items were only available on petrol models. Also, as a 1990 model, it does not have Airbags or a Catalyst.
However, as a standard 1990 Ghia model, it has cloth seats, a 5-speed gearbox, radio cassette, and steel wheels with original factory wheel covers, plus the standard Granada feature of all round disc brakes with ABS
It is presently a hobby car and used as an occasional second car.

Ownership
It was owned by a Mr & Mrs H from new in July 1990 until March 2008 and covered only 32,000 miles (2 Keepers) in that time.
Ownership passed to a garage service and parts manager who was between jobs, who knew the owners, and who needed a stop gap family car (Keeper 3). I bought it from him in March 2009 at 38,000 miles which makes me the 4th Keeper in the Log book.
Maintenance
The car was serviced at 38881 miles on May 2009; that included all 3 filters and new rear brake pads. The brake fluid had been changed, and a new exhaust and battery fitted by the previous owner.
The Ford Service Plan Booklet has servicing stamps at mileages of 1799, 12128, 24295, and 32000 carried out at a Ford Retail Dealer, and at 38,881 in my local garage.
It is taxed and MoT til July 2010 and I get 37-38mpg in restrained local running.
The original Owner Booklets and Ford Assurance Certificate are present.
This Diesel Granada Ghia is one of a kind - a truly cossetted little-used example of one of Ford's most popular big German-built executive expresses from the 80's and early 90's.
At £1650 it represents an opportunity for a collector taking the long view.
