This is a nut and bolt restored MGC Roadster that has just been completed by us. The body was sandblasted and has been rebuilt using new front and rear wings, doors, sills and floors. The car has an uprated fast road engine and manual overdrive gearbox. I have a parts list as long as my arm and can e mail it over to anyone that is interested.
On the road the car is simply stunning and the engine wants to go, go go and the steering is the lightest I have ever felt on a standard MGC. The car is polybushed everywhere and fitted with Gaz shockers. The carbs are rejetted to suit the air filters and stainless extractor exhaust system and I have just fitted a alloy radiator more for looks than cooling as its now an item I stock for MGCs and wanted to fit one and take some pictures. She will happily cruise at 80mph and feels very planted at any speed.
This car won concours (even tho I didnt enter) at 2010 MGC day at Haynes Motor Mueseum. I was very proud to collect a trophey for a car I just wanted to build to be a great driving and not a trophey winner.
This car cost in excess of £43,000 if you account for the 1000 hours needed to build to this standard and I have a 6 page parts list totalling about £13,000.
