I bought this earlier in the year as a 40th birthday present to myself. The previous owner was owned the car for 12 years, and was a an active member in the TSSC since 1992.
The car is a 1972 in signal red; it is a non overdrive model with rotoflex suspension. The previous owner replaced the following:
Both floor pans and one sill
Both front wings and one rear wing
Roof front edge has been cut out and repaired
New front callipers, brake pads and discs
Reconditioned correct 3.27 diff fitted 2 years ago (these are like hens teeth to obtain)
Excellent Mazda MX5 seats
New headlining
New carpets
TSSC Stainless steel twin pipe exhaust. Fitted 3 years ago.
New brake pipes front and back
Rebuilt and recovered Webasto Sunroof
Reconditioned Stromberg Carburettors fitted 4 years ago.
And resprayed about 5 years ago too
It's not all good...
Could do with some minor work on door and bonnet fitment.
Slight rust on bottom of doors
Could ideally do with new front inner wing panels as they do not fit correctly. These are very cheap.
Previously valued for insurance purposes at £6,500.
