AUSTIN HEALEY (FROGEYE) SPRITE for restoration SOLD (1959) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | I have available a Mk 1 Austin Healey Sprite first registered in Portsmouth in 1959. Car has had only 6 owners since new & carries its original 3 letter, 3-digit registration. I have the V5C
The restoration of this car has been started & carried out to a high standard & the car now requires finishing. No welding is required & all the hard work has been carried out.
The car is a rolling shell, fitted with wire wheels & comes with seats, windscreen, doors, original steering wheel, fuel tank, and 1275 engine & ribcase gearbox.
The shell has been completed restored & now needs undercoating & painting. New floors, A posts, springhangers, have been fitted as well as new springs, suspension, brake discs, brake pipes, hubs etc etc. The rear shroud is excellent & a steel bonnet is fitted requiring minimal attention.
The condition of the engine & gearbox is unknown.
Car will require final body preparation & painting, rewiring & fitting of all the ancillaries.
Main parts missing are the grille & dashboard
