Range Rover 3.5 litre petrol £800-00 SOLD (1987) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | Hello, I have a 1987, Blue Range rover for sale. NO MOT. NO ROAD TAX. I stopped driving my car last year November, as a result of a new job with high mileage, and used my other car instead. The MOT ran out in December, Tax ran out too, eventually I cancelled the insurance in June this year. The car has 80 something thousand miles on the clock, the headliner is starting to sag (as do all range rovers of this age), has a bullbar in front, and tow hitch in the back.
What is wrong with the car? Paintwork needs attention on the bonnet due to some eco warrior putting brake fluid on the bonnet and it strips the paint off (pictures can be supplied). Some rust on the bonnet too. Sunroof is temporamental. Tailgate locks after several attempts. Bonnet release needs some lube, as it sticks. Lost a windscreen wiper pin when cleaning the car last week. Slow leak to rhs rear wheel. I cleaned the car and found that some scum has stolen the rear offside light lense and bulbs, and due to a flat battery the car central locking unlocked and the jack was also stolen. So a new battery has been put in on 23/01/2010.
What is right with the car? Spent over £2000-00 in the last 2 years fixing the car.... new tyres, new suspension, new alarm and immobiliser, new battery, services, etc, etc. All done through Range rover repairs in Greenwich, so they can account for all repairs and the state of the car.
So what do you need to get the car up and running? A trailor to take it away, then an mot, then road tax and insurance.
It is a super car to drive, I am only giving it up as I will not be using it. A real bargain at £800-00 due to all the work I have got done on it. If you need photos or more info, please do not hesitate to contact me.
