VW T25 Transporter/ Camper SOLD (1986) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | For sale is my C reg VW T25 transporter/ camper van. He has a 1.9 watercooled petrol engine.
His bodywork is extremely solid.The floors have never been welded.His suspension has been professionally lowered all round.He has a homemade rock & roll bed in the rear and the interior is fully lined. I also fitted a rear seat with belts. This easily slides out on runners for extra space and provides extra seating (or a bed) for 3 people.
He has been a very reliable and versatile motor.I have camped with him a couple of times. He easily accomodates a double and single airbed in the rear.He is an excellent load carrier.I've also done a few house removals for friends with him.
I've also fitted a towbar and he happily pulled my small race car and trailer to a few events.
I fitted a brand new petrol tank and brand new twin choke carburetter earlier this year.He has also had an oil change, and service.He has piles of service history, much of it from VW dealer.He is showing about 84,000 miles on the clock but has had a brand new engine replacement at some point so I am not sure if this is correct.In any case he runs very sweet and returns about 30mpg.
I have insured him on Classic insurance and it cost me less than £80!! Amazingly cheap! He has been worth his weight in gold and I will be very sad to see him go, but unfortuneately I have to raise money for my university course :(.
He is MOT'd until end of May 2010 but had no advisories.His tax runs out end of November 2009 but I will retax for the new owner if required.
