This is a unique opportunity to acquire an early 100 for restoration. By viewing this car at such early stages of the rebuild process will give you a good understanding of exactly what restoration work is required.

many thanks for looking and please see below an honest description of my 100/4.

this is a 1954 bn-1 100.
model type 100/4 roadster.
bn -1 l/h/d car for restoration that has come from usa.

it has all the correct paperwork in place from the usa, and there are no
outstanding duties to be paid.
the original customs and excise c386 is all in order and present.
the car retains a british motor heritage certificate.

it would prove a very good candidate to be exported to the european market -
or could be easily converted to r/h/d/ for uk personnel use.
i have all the necessary r/h/d parts available if you were to convert over.

the original colour is green with green leather interior.
the overall condition of the restoration project is very good - which is
what you would expect from a us import - every original panel can be
re-used which is such as a bonus considering the price of repro panels from
main a/h specialists.

chassis and bulkhead description.

this car is an original l/h/d bn-1, dating back from 1954.
the original colour is green with green trim.
the main chassis, front and rear bulkheads are in good order with the usual
repairs to be undertaken - but i have to say when closely inspected only
basic repairs are required.
the inner and intermediate sills are in situ, but may need looking at.
the front floors and boot floor are all in situ and look very sound -
possibility they could be saved.
the out riggers are all in situ, and look pretty solid.
i would say that this car has been dry stored and locked a way for approx 15
years or so - this is a very sound 100/4 for restoration, with nothing
covered up.

body panels.

the healey retains all its original front and rear steel wings - which are
in very good condition, and i have to say you will not be disappointed on
inspection.
they will require the usual small repair sections blended in.
all the front and rear wings have been etched primed to preserve the steel.
the front and rear shrouds are in very good condition - i was going to have
the them stripped for inspection - but i think it’s nice to see the original
colour of the panels before you start.
the original steel doors are near prefect - and will require only small dents repaired.
the original steel bonnet is good with the bottom hinge latch section all in
situ.
the original aluminum boot is very solid.
all the original panels on this car are present but will require small
amount of repairs to be carried out.
as one would except from a car over 50 years old -
i nearly forgot the front apron is very good - this could be a re-made item
the original grill is there - which is a very nice straight unit.

screen, dash board, interior trim, bumpers etc.

the original screen is all complete with the bottom wing sections for
folding - plus a new piece of glass has been acquired.
the original alloy dash is in very good condition, with one extra hole -
there are only one clock present.
the four pieces of cockpit trim sections are all present and in good order.
there is only one bumper present with irons.
the parcel tray, the battery cover, the prop shaft cover are all present.
the original hood frame is complete and is very good.
the seat bases and back seat sections are all present, but will require
recovering.
the three speed gearbox cover and bulkhead section are all present and in
very good order.

mechanical.

the gearbox and over drive is all complete and present.
the complete rear axle is present.
the steering column and steering wheel turns freely and is complete with
idler and arms, and comes with a very rare original horn push assembly.
the prop shaft is there.
the complete front braking system and suspension is all complete, with
steering arms etc.
and the l/h/d pedals are there

engine bay area.

the engine is basically complete - but is minus the head.
bearing end caps, crank shaft, cam shaft, con rods and pistons.
front and back plates.
tacho drive.
carburetors and cast iron manifold.
distributor.
oil filters assembly.
cam cover and breather pipe.
rocker shaft and rocker cover.
sump cover.
timing chain cover.
engine mounts.
radiator.

other parts concerning the 100.
a pair of horns, number plate and light bracket that fits to the rear
shroud, steering wheel, horn push, stator tube, rear leaf springs and
shackle bolts 4 off, heater, starter motor, dymno, petrol tank, filler cap,
sender unit, 4 wire wheel with worn tyres, alloy kick plate sections, hood
frame with latches and prop shaft.

overall -- this car has been stripped for restoration, and the chassis and
bulkheads have been lightly blasted and etch primed to start the process of
the basic restoration.

you will not be disappointed on inspection of the chassis and bulkheads -
i believe it is better to inspect the 100/4 at this early stage of
restoration - as you can visually see exactly what you are restoring.

in my opinion this is a very good straight forward basically compete
restoration project car to start off with.
and any parts that are missing, you can obtain from most a/h specialists,
example lights, and electrical parts.
i have approx 30 to 40 photos of the other big parts - wings shrouds,
doors engine, gearbox etc if you require them - please ask.
this 100 is indicating good investment value at £9,950.
