MGB Roadster Fully Restored SOLD (1963) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | Here we have a superb example of a very early "pull" door handle, 3 bearing engined 1963 MGB roadster that was subject to a "no cost spared" ground up restoration in 1995/6. The car has been garaged ever since and has subsequently only covered some 4,150 miles since. The quality of the restoration is clear to see, it still retains that just finished as new immaculate look. These early Roadsters are now exceptionally rare, finding one in this condition is even harder. Please do not confuse this beautiful MG with the normal low quality restorations that are so often on the market. Finished in Old English White with Black Leather Piped in White, new black carpets with correct period rubber floor mats and sitting on correct stove enameled wire wheels. The MG comes with full documentation of servicing and invoices for various purchases subsequent to the restoration, the original BMC Owners handbook is also present in the file. The MG is still on its original chassis and engine numbers, is mechanically excellent, starts first time every time even in these wintery conditions and drives beautifully. All switches and electrics function as they should as would be expected from this full nut and bolt restoration. There is a full tonneau cover with half zip and an unmarked hood. The MG also comes with an insurance valuation dating back to 2001 for £11,000 since then the classic market has rocketed hence this car is a bargain and an investment. This is a great opportunity for someone to acquire a rare classic that can be used daily or kept as an occasionally used appreciating asset plus the road tax is free. The original registration number 6292PE is included in the sale, the car is located in Staffordshire and viewing is highly recommended and very welcome.
