FIA Historic 928S SOLD (1981) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | An interesting and very exciting 928 was built profesionaly in 2009 at no expense spared, as a tarmac spec rally car.It is eligable for FIA and MSA and HRCR championships. Photographic record of build which included bare shell rebuild from totally rust free shell. All new everything except engine. Rebuilt gearbox vith LSD. Completely new aircraft type wiring loom with relays. Incredibly strong welded in roll cage. Bag tank . new seats , belts,fire system. Brantz tripmaster etc etc etc. Big spares package inc bodyshell 2 manual gearboxes. wheels and tyres.standard 300 plus bhp engine. Pespex windows. everything hugely lightened. this car would cost £50,000 plus to build to this standard.
It was driven for the first time by Richard Tuthill on The Tour of Flanders. Where it finished 1st in class and 7th Overall, straight out of the box. He had a broad grin from start to finish, and would like to have time to make a few adjustments and to compete again , but to many 911 comitments. Could be easily improved to be a winning contender. I am only selling as I will not be able to obtain a Comp licence due to a health problem. Why not be different for Only £27500 PS sounds wonderfrul!
