Opel Monza 3.0EC Auto SOLD (1982) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | This car has been in the family for 24 years and has been meticulously maintained throughout by a former long-term Monza Club Technical Advisor in the family, the main aim being originality.
Having now covered 110,000 miles, this Monza has been practically faultless. Attention to the inevitable corrosion has been successful and a recent respray has finished the job, making the car one of the best of its type. No major panels have required replacement.
The blue velour interior is in first class, unfaded condition with the heated, height adjustable seats working as they should, along with all the electrics.
The crankshaft bearings and timing chain have been replaced as well as the injectors. Apart from this the drivetrain is original
Everything works as it should and the car drives beautifully in all respects. In fact, in many ways this model is a better drive than the GSE which replaced it and is worth considering price-wise. If required, all the cosmetic and minor suspension mods would make it a GSE in all but name (Without the digital dash!) The owner is able to supply most of the parts required for this type of conversion.
