Collector's Edition Fiat X1/9 SOLD (1989) | | | If you are looking for a fun project to get maximum fun summer motoring, then this is the perfect car.
This is a rare example of the last of the line for the Fiat X1/9 model - the Gran Finale from 1989.
The car has been owned by a discerning lady owner for over 10 years and had lot's of money spent on it over the years with a full history file, receipts etc to show this.
The car was prepared for the road in Autumn of 2007 but time pressures prevented completing the work. Since then the car has been in storage and with the owner spending most of their time overseas, it is time to move the car on to someone who will get maximum benefit out of a minor project to put the car back on the road.
The car had a new battery, clutch, brake discs, exhaust and numerous other parts fitted in 2007 and has only covered a total of 57,000 miles since new. The number plate is G777 BFS and could be sold on or retained with the car.
There is some very minor corrosion, which is primarily cosmetic - overall the shell is very solid and the main panels in very good condition. Work required to complete will be fitting replacement brake master cylinder and bleeding the brakes, cosmetics to some blemishes in the paintwork and minor corrosion. A full check of the electrics for the MOT and a tune up of the carburettor/ignition - perhaps even fitting of Lumenition electronic ignition and a manual choke conversion
The car will be an appreciating classic and can be on the road again ready for the spring/summer with minimal outlay
