Selling Points: 1965 E-Type Jaguar S-1 Convertible. 4.2 liter engine. 4 speed manual transmission.
-- Red paint exterior - with Tan interior.
- Set up as a rally car so rear fenders were flared (cut & brazed - excellent job) to handle offset triple-laced wire wheels for wider tires.
- The front is from a V-12 with 3 relief vents.
- about 10k usd spent on the-- Motor had major overhaul in 1992 at DeLong's Jaguar in Campbell, CA - including clutch plate & throw-out bearing.
Gear box was re-built in 1994 including new needle bearings... At same time, a larger radiator was installed with an electric fan.
- Also upgraded to electronic ignition.
In 1998, the wheels were tuned by Zenith Wheels in San Jose and set up for tubeless tires - 200 mph Michelin's.
-- At that time the body was taken down to bare metal and painted and new convertible top and tonneau cover installed.
-In 2001, a new turn signal unit was installed.
- Exhaust is 2 Abarth mufflers though 2 megaphones - it has that growl expected of a claSSic Jaguar.
- Washed with only KIT carnauba wax wash.
Condition: One of the most beautiful cars ever made - excellent driving car - must see to appreciate.
