Vauxhall VX4/90 101 FC 1964 LHD SOLD (1965) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | 1965 Vauxhall VX4/90 only 56000 Kilometers from new.
Luton built late 1964 in Left Hand Drive for export to GM France, this was the top of the range sporting Vauxhall.
Registered to the first of its two Paris owners in April 1965 this is an incredibly original and rust free vehicle probably due to the French owners habit of brushing the underside in old engine oil.
Bought by the present owner in 2005 and kept in Southern Spain for use on local classic car club runs and shows.
The car was the subject of a five page article in the December 2006 edition of Classics Monthly and was described by respected journalist Ivan Oscoff as having "Zero rust and no welding!hard to believe on a 42 year old Vauxhall, but oddly true"
She is now over 46 years old and her 71 year old owner has returned to live in the UK (also hard to believe, but true) and with no garage I can no longer keep her.
Extremely comfortable and roomy and with a large boot this would be a fabulous car for continental touring events and is so rare that entry would be almost guaranteed on most FIA events.
The car is an every day working museum piece and a real time warp. Now located back in France near Angouleme she is for sale complete with documents and manuals both Haynes type and Vauxhall Dealer Service issues. At only 56000 KM this car has even retained its unique Vauxhall "new car" smell.(I know because I used to sell them new)
For sale at only 3995 Euro's, payment can be in Euro's or GB pounds.
