Volkswagen Scirocco 1.8gti scala SOLD (1989) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | I have for sale the most original and genuine mk2 scirocco probably still in existance.The car was bought from the local dealer(was Corkills V.A.G)on the Isle of Man by an elderly gentleman who soon was unable to drive it.It sat with under 4000 miles on it for most of it's life in his garage.It was sold in the last 3 years by his widow to a local enthusiast who somehow must have heard about the car.I am told he used it until around 13000miles.I bought it from a guy who i know who sold it to me with approx 23000 miles on it.I have owned it for a year and a half and have drove it everyday and it has been brilliant.It now has 33000 trouble free miles.Soon after i bought it i got a VW/Porsche technician to change the cambelt(genuine VAG)and carry out a servce using v.a.g Synta Oil.In every way the car is like a new car and drives beautifully.I have enjoyed it because i have been a volkswagen enthusiast since 18 and eveybody admires the car and wants to see it close up.Personally im 41 years old and have only ever driven it at 60-70 mph prefrering to preserve, and just enjoy the car for what it is.Someone is going to think it is their lucky day when they see the car,i have had so much pleasure with it,but its not quite as practical as a modern car(i have a Polo diesel)for the family and now my planning permission has come through for my double glazing i have to put that first.I also managed to source a brand new Avus scala alloy wheel so the car can always stay on its original wheels if one got damaged(still in box).There a no faults at all with the car.The paintwork is fantastically shiny and all original(tested electronically)every panel original.The interior,carpets everything is like new.All glass original(vag stamps)on screens etc.I couldn't do the car justice by description but please see pics taken by me just for fun in the summer.if you are interested i can take some of any area of car you wish and send them.I'm totally sincere about this car and am not the type of person to mis-lead,dissappoint or ever rip any one off.Cheers Chris Kelly.
