Collectable VW Golf Mark 2 in White SOLD (1985) | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | Collectable VW Golf Match Mark 2, Is now the only one of this version on the road as of May 2011.
This well maintained car is 1985 B registered (08 July 1985) with a 1300cc in Alpine White. It is completely original condition throughout including white bucket seats and white carpet. Manual steering, Manual Breaking all add to the true experience of driving when to drive a car was the knowledge of gears and breaking.
The car design, colour, white interior are certainly a head turner and with its double sporting headlights the car is an enjoyment to drive at night as it is in the day. The car is brilliant in cold weather (starts no problem) and has had fuel pipes and other components.
The car is in good condition but has some rust on the body that will need to have some attention in time. It is not the usual abused example because it is a collectable and has been treated as so for years. Drives very well, has only a tear to the drivers seat (see photo) but that’s expected. Is original right down to the period styled cassette player in black and white to match the interior!
3 Doors, two side doors and a hatch back rear door. Rear seats are split to 1 single and 2 double so perfect for splitting if required. Mileage of car at present is 125,000 and runs extremely smoothly with all fluids up to date.
The car has a few minor surface rust areas, and the car will undoubtedly need to be looked after by an owner dedicated to keeping such a collectable on the road. This car is only being sold due to moving to the USA and is a regrettable sale, the car has only had 2 owners in its history and has been well looked after but driven regular for enjoyment. Hence the reason the car is for sale. This car has been valued at twice the sale price - This is a Special Offer.
This car is for a person looking to experience history, to drive history and also to enjoy looking good in a nice car with character.
The car will need a little work to it, but only loving tender care.
The car is off the road at present and requires the following doing to it, MOT, Service and the bonnet cable hatch needs to be replaced.
