Porsche 356B (T5) Coupe super model.This is a genuine & rear British supplied RHD coupe Delivered new in 1959 from Frazer Nash cars of Isleworth now AFN Ltd.This car has related paperwork/history going back to 1963.In the late 80's this car was full restored to rally/race/fast road spec in preparation for the Pirelli classic marathon & that years monty.The body was stripped of all unnecessary trim i.e rear seats,carpets,headlining,trim panels,bumpers etc also @ this stage all the underseal was removed from the underside inc. under the wings,engine compartment & trunk areas etc. Lighter perspex windows fitted with the exception of the windscreen,The side drop glass has the carrera style window pull straps on both doors with ally door panels & net map pockets.The original front seats have been retained fitted with full race harnesses. Driver & passengers fire extinguishers,Rear half roll cage,external engine kill switch,New loom with rally style fuse box for quick/easy access upgraded to 12 volt. It come fitted with a Halda speed pilot & a Halda trip master. Carrera wing mirror,Sebring exhaust,A full set of modern & accurate dials have been fitted these inc. oil pressure,oil temp,fuel & electronic rev counter.Map light. Cheese grater head lamp covers,original period bonnet straps.Removable tow eye.The full underside is painted for easy maintenance & safety (no hidden rust here).The Engine was entrusted to 356 guru Barry Curtis who took the original 1600 out to 1720 producing over 100 BHP.The engine has an Alternator conversion,twin coils,twin fuel pumps,remote oil filter & cooler & has a (racing red) battery.The engine starts 1st crank & runs/pulls very strong It really is a hoot!.I purchased the car with the intention of doing the grueling Carrera Panamerica but we had twins so thats never going to happen now! I have fitted new door skin sections & had the car professionally painted,The paint is top quality as are the door gaps the car now looks very sharp much better in real life than the pictures. I added the stripe its lazer cut off the car then fitted so can be removed without any marks or sections ordered if required. The car comes with its original FIA appendix 'K' period 'E' type 4 for race/rally paperwork.It comes with some spares.So we have here an original RHD 356 ready to perform in what ever sport you like be it rally or race or just use on the road as the current trend (Outlaw) what ever you do you will love it.You could not buy a scrapper & restore it for anywhere near this price.This car wants for nothing enjoy.
