Marcos 3 Litre V6 Coupe in excellent condition For Sale (1970)Superb Porsche Guards Red paintwork,(clear lacquer top coat) which looks better than the photo's!); black leather interior; factory fitted walnut dashboard; 104,667 miles; overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears; full years MOT until 28 August 2011.
The car had a complete body off restoration undertaken in 1996 by the Marcos factory in Wiltshire at a cost of £6,500, (original receipt available). This included a new steel chassis, wiring loom and new leather interior.
I have owned the car since March 2003. It comes with a very comprehensive history file, original V5 log book and Marcos Heritage record papers.
Apart from the wheels on the car at present, (which look very much like Boranni wire wheels) the car has 5 other similar spare wheels as well as a set of 5 original Marcos magnesium alloy wheels in excellent condition, (see photo). All the wheels have good tyres. Some other spares included together with a pair of Zodiac exhaust manifolds, (like gold-dust!)
It has Spax fully adjustable rear shock absorbers, (fitted March '05) and Gazshock front ones, (fitted August '09).
Other features........Webasto sunroof, electric windows, original Marcos steering wheel, electric fan, alternator, high performance silicone plug leads, triple air horns, brake servo, halogen headlamp conversion,(inc. sidelight bulbs), high level brakelight, stainless steel exhaust and bonnet pins.
The car has an aluminium foam-filled racing fuel tank, (fitted June '06 at a cost of over £700).
The engine, (Ford "Essex" V6) has Powermax pistons, pulls strongly and has excellent oil pressure.
Reason for selling is purely to help finance moving house.
