Very nice original 1961 190SL roadster. White with red interior, this car is in excellent driver condition having just been fully serviced and made ready for the road.
Perfect for the collector or enthusiast who wants to enjoy the car behind the wheel. There is some surface rust beginning to show through the paint in small patches, but is not invasive. There are several areas of touch-up.
The car has been well-enjoyed over the years. Interior shows well with normal patina both on seats and dash. All instrumentation works including the clock. Chrome is decent with generalized pitting. Glass and all weather-stripping still are good. Panted dash looks very nice and there are no cracks in the steering wheel. Carpet shows expected wear. Engine is extremely clean and in excellent mechanical condition. Original gearbox shifts smoothly. New exhaust. Canvass top and mechanism in very good order.
No missing trim. Undercarriage is very clean. Surface rust is apparent in small areas on the undercarriage as well as small areas around the edges of the chassis – but is not invasive. Recent Service includes complete brake overhaul. Rebuilt fuel pump – replaced filter. Tune-up. Original solex carbs in excellent condition. Carburetor flange gaskets replaced. New Tires, all new lines and hoses. Repacked wheel bearings. Rebuilt brake booster. All fluids replaced including coolant, transmission fluid, and differential oil.
